The 2021 GT Cup season came to a close at Snetterton which saw Team Abba Racing’s Sam / Richard Neary clinch their maiden title. It wasn’t all plain sailing however as a spin in the greasy conditions during Saturday’s sprint race and further dramas in the enduro saw their lead eaten into by the Topcats Lamborghini.

Warren Gilbert fought valiantly but came just short of clinching his maiden title with the outgoing champion, Simon Orange rounding out the top three. Class GTO was claimed by SB Race Engineering’s Paul Bailey / Ross Wylie, GTB was Valluga Racing’s Nick Phelps whilst Josh Jackson claimed the ultra-competitive GTH class despite driving most of the year solo in the new McLaren 570s GT4.
