Steller Motorsport, the 2022 British GT4 champions, are staging a grand comeback to the series this year, announcing a formidable lineup featuring Tim Docker and Jordan Albert behind the wheel of their Audi R8 LMS GT4.
The Pro-Am duo is determined to follow in the footsteps of the previous champions, Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding, who secured the drivers’ crown two years ago with the same Audi chassis. After a brief foray into Le Mans Cup’s GT3 ranks last season, Steller Motorsport is now refocusing on domestic competition with an eye-catching pairing and the proven winning capabilities of their R8.
Tim Docker, making his British GT debut after a successful GT Cup campaign alongside Albert, expressed his confidence in the team’s abilities. “Steller is a well-established, championship-winning race team. I’m confident I’ll be well-supported,” he remarked. Docker brings a wealth of experience, including a Britcar Class 4 championship in 2019 and participation in various national series like TCR UK.
Meanwhile, Jordan Albert, a former GT4 title contender with Beechdean AMR and Academy’s Mustang, is thrilled to return to full-time racing alongside Docker. “It’s our first time competing in the British GT Championship as a pair, so there is some learning to do, but I’ve had experience in the series before so I can share my knowledge to support Tim,” he stated.
Steller Motorsport’s decision to bring their Audi into the fray boosts the GT4 grid, with seven manufacturers confirmed so far. Fans can anticipate more exciting announcements before the full-season entry list is unveiled at the media day on March 12.
The nine-race campaign kicks off at Oulton Park on March 30 + April 1, promising a thrilling season ahead for British GT enthusiasts.
