Team Parker Racing (TPR) has announced an exciting addition to its 2025 British GT Championship roster, with seasoned racing veteran Phil Keen joining forces with newcomer Jon Currie in the GT4 class. The duo will pilot TPR’s trusted Mercedes-AMG GT4 for the full season, marking a significant shift for Keen, who is celebrated as the series’ most successful driver in terms of wins but has yet to conquer the GT4 podium.

BRITISH GT NEWS

Phil Keen, a name synonymous with British GT excellence, brings an illustrious 20-year career to the GT4 ranks. With 19 GT3/overall victories and two class wins, Keen holds the record for the most series wins in British GT history. His GT4 experience has been limited, with only two outings in 2012—neither of which resulted in a podium finish. This year, Keen aims to leverage his extensive expertise to claim new territory in the highly competitive GT4 class.

Joining Keen is Jon Currie, a promising talent making his full-season British GT debut. Currie dipped his toes into the championship last year at Donington, driving the same Mercedes-AMG GT4 he’ll share with Keen this season. His familiarity with the car grew through additional outings in the 2024 GT Cup and the GT4 Winter Series earlier this year, setting a solid foundation for his rookie campaign. Currie’s rapid adaptation to the Mercedes-AMG platform has TPR optimistic about his potential alongside a driver of Keen’s caliber.

Team Parker Racing, a stalwart of British GT, continues to build on its rich legacy with this pairing. Founded in 1998 by Stuart Parker, TPR has a storied history of success across multiple classes. The team clinched the GT3 Drivers’ Championship in 2017 with Seb Morris and Rick Parfitt Jr., and its GT4 Pro-Am title in 2018 with Nick Jones and Scott Malvern showcased its versatility with the Mercedes-AMG GT4. In recent years, TPR has maintained a strong presence, with Morris returning in 2024 alongside Charles Dawson to secure the GT4 Pro-Am crown. This year, TPR doubles down on its GT4 ambitions, fielding Keen and Currie in the full-season effort while also supporting Endurance Cup contenders Ed McDermott and Seb Morris.

The Keen-Currie partnership promises a blend of experience and ambition. For Keen, it’s a chance to add a GT4 triumph to his decorated resume, while Currie aims to make his mark in a series known for its fierce competition. TPR’s Mercedes-AMG GT4, a proven contender, will be their weapon of choice as they tackle the nine-round season.

The full British GT entry list, including TPR’s latest lineup, will be unveiled this Friday during the championship’s media day at Silverstone. The season kicks off on April 5 at Donington Park, where Keen and Currie will begin their quest to bring TPR back to the GT4 forefront. With Keen’s record-breaking history and Currie’s emerging talent, Team Parker Racing is poised for a compelling 2025 campaign.
