A first pole position for Peugeot and a maiden win for BMW; this edition of the 6 hours of Spa hosted a lot of firsts!

BMW claimed its maiden FIA WEC victory at Spa-Francorchamps, with Team WRT delivering a historic 1-2 finish for the Bavarian marque. Robin Frijns, Rene Rast and Sheldon van der Linde led home Kevin Magnussen, Raffaele Marciello and Dries Vanthoor after a strategic masterclass from the Belgian outfit. In LMGT3, the #10 Garage 59 McLaren took class honours after the leading Ferrari was penalised late on.
