The team debuted in the championship at Donington Park last year finishing 12th and followed this up with a second outing at Silverstone in November. In 2021 the team will double their commitment contesting four of the seven rounds taking in Brands Hatch, Snetterton and both Donington rounds. It also doubles the Aston Martin GT3s on the grid with the team joining the Beechdean Aston of Andrew Howard and Jonny Adam.
Ultimate Speed will join the new Silver-Am category along with Team ABBA Racing’s Richard and Sam Neary, Stewart and Lewis Proctor (Balfe Motorsport) and Simon Green Motorsport pairing Lucky Khera and Ross Wylie who will all be contesting the full season.
“We always enjoy our British GT outings – first and foremost we want to have fun so decided to increase our commitment this year after switching from old to new Vantage in 2020,” said Brown. “We should be closer to the established pairings with more testing and mileage, and Silver-Am really gives us something to aim at.”
Spectators can attend the opening round of this season’s Intelligent Money British GT Championship at Brands Hatch on May 22/23 by reserving tickets in advance. Several COVID-19 protocols and restrictions – including a closed paddock – will remain in place until at least June 21 when the UK government is due to end all lockdown measures.
