British GT returned to Brands Hatch for a thrilling title decider with five drivers in contention throughout both GT3 and GT4.

Rob Collard looked set to clinch a third GT3 crown after a decisive move at the start saw him take the race lead. But drama struck as he spun his Barwell Lamborghini Huracán GT3 into the gravel at Sheene, ultimately ending his chances for a third crown.

Simon Orange and Marcus Clutton then went unchallenged to claim victory and an unlikely championship, having entered Brands Hatch fifth in the overall standings.

GT4 meanwhile was even closer as less than 0.2 seconds separated first and second in the championship. Dan Lavery and Darren Turner in their Grange Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4 clinched the crown with a second-placed finish courtesy of an almighty defensive drive by Turner. He kept main rivals, Jessica Hawkins and Will Orton, at bay despite the latter pair nearly drawing alongside on the run to the chequered flag. The position gave Lavery and Turner the win on countback with both pairings finishing level on points.

British GT returns in 2027 on 10-11 April at Snetterton, with the Norfolk venue hosting the season opener for the first time.
