Audi Sport Italia has confirmed Jody Lambrughi as the first driver announced for its 2026 Italian GT Endurance programme, with the Italian-Swiss racer set to contest all four three-hour races at the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS GT3.

The collaboration follows Lambrughi’s GT3 debut with the team at Monza in 2025, where he immediately showed strong pace and competitiveness. That outing briefly put him in contention for an outright result before a late puncture ended the team’s challenge, a performance that nevertheless laid the foundations for a full-season programme.

Lambrughi, born in Como and now residing in Switzerland, enters the 2026 season on the back of a successful 2025. Alongside his GT3 debut, 2025 also included a class victory with the Audi R8 GT4 during the FIA WEC support race at Imola and a runner-up finish in the Mitjet Italia championship.

Audi Sport Italia is expected to make further announcements on its 2026 Italian GT Championship line-up in the coming weeks.
