The Haupt Racing Team (HRT) will field a striking livery on the Ford Mustang GT3 at the 2026 ADAC Ravenol 24h Nürburgring after announcing a new partnership with the German Armed Forces.
The Drees-based squad will run the Mustang in a distinctive olive-green polygon camouflage design on the Nordschleife, marking the Bundeswehr’s debut as an official team partner. The programme includes the 24-hour race, scheduled for May 14-17, and selected rounds of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS).
The collaboration with the Bundeswehr is centered on recruitment. Carrying the slogan “Mit uns den dienst wagen” – dare to serve with us – the car will serve as a rolling ambassador for the Bundeswehr, promoting career opportunities across military and civilian roles.

What motorsports and the military have in common
HRT CEO Ulrich Fritz welcomes the partnership. “The collaboration with the Bundeswehr is a great honor for HRT”, he says. Fritz sees similarties between motorsport and the military, he explains: “Both fields depend on commitment, team spirit, and technology. This is especially true for the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, where people and equipment are pushed to their limits.”
According to Brigadier General Walter Schulte, head of recruitment at the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Personnel Management, the collaboration offers an authentic platform to present armed forces as a modern employer. “Our partnership with Haupt Racing Team allows us to showcase these opportunities where teamwork and motivation converge. This collaboration is an authentic way to combine sports and vocation.”
