IMSA announced the 2027 WeatherTech Sportscar Championship schedule Thursday morning at Sebring. 2027 will be a season of milestones for some of the most iconic events and venues in the sport.

The 36 Hours of Florida

The season begins with the 65th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona January 28-31. The pre-season Roar test weekend will take place the week prior, January 22-24. After drivers and teams catch their breath from Daytona, it’s time to “Respect The Bumps.” The Diamond Anniversary 75th running of the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring is March 17-20.

The West Coast Swing

From Florida, the series will head west. The tour of California starts with the traditional Saturday sprint at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 17 before making the trek up north to the Monterey Peninsula. WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca will celebrate 70 years of racing in 2027 and IMSA will be part of the year-long party. The Monterey Sportscar Championships weekend takes place April 30-May 2.

Summer Stretch

June begins with the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship battling on the streets of Downtown Detroit. The sprint race takes place on Saturday, June 5. After the break for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the series returns to endurance racing. The Sahlen’s Six Hours at the Glen kicks off the second half of the IMSA season June 24-27.

July marks the series annual trip north of the border. Canadian Tire Motorsports Park hosts the only non-US round of the championship July 9-11. Returning stateside is the fourth round of the Michelin Endurance Cup. America’s National Park of Speed, Road America, hosts the cars and stars of IMSA for a 6-hour battle July 29-August 1.

Run to the Finish

August will also see the series return to Virginia International Raceway August 20-22. In September, the series will visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the penultimate round of the season September 17-19. Finally, as tradition, the season culminates with the 30th anniversary of Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta October 7-9.
