Race 1 of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers has been red-flagged after a multi-car incident on the opening laps at Klostertal, with early indications suggesting a possible oil spill as the trigger.
A total of seven cars are understood to be involved: #27 PROsport Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 of Maik Rönnefarth, #111 Team JS Competition BMW 325i of Eugen Becker, #121 Keeevin Motorsport BMW 325i of Juha Miettinen, #410 rent2Drive Porsche Cayman GTS, #448 Porsche Cayman CM12 of Philip Klinkmüller, #503 GITI Tire Motorsport by WS Racing BMW 330i of Siri Hökfelt, and #992 Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of Björn Griesemann.
The race was immediately red-flagged, with medical teams dispatched to the scene. At this stage, there are reports of injuries, but no official confirmation has been provided regarding the severity or condition of those involved.
