In hot, bright early‑morning conditions, the Andorran took redemption after yesterday’s misfortune, having been collected in the opening‑lap incident of Saturday’s first sprint race. With a 1m32.017sec in the #3 Team Verstappen Racing Mercedes AMG GT3, he edged out Race 1 winner Kelvin van der Linde by just 0.057sec.
