Ontario-based 13 Autosport confirm their plans for the 2027 racing season on Tuesday. Highlighting the announcement is their return to the GTD class of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. Orey Fidani, fresh off his third successive Bob Akin Award, will once again be joined by Britain’s Matt Bell for the full season. Germany’s Lars Kern will be the team’s third driver for the Michelin Endurance Cup. 13 Autosport becomes only the second team to confirm a GTD program after three-time reigning class champions Winward announced their entry before Petit Le Mans.

Additionally, as mentioned, a third consecutive Akin Award means a third entry in June’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, that may not be their only European race. The team confirms they are evaluating participation in other major European races.

While the team is evaluating additional action in Europe, they confirm visiting another continent. After the season opening Rolex 24, 13 Autosport will embark to Australia for the first time. The team will enter a Corvette in February’s Bathurst 12 Hours. Bathurst is the team’s first ever entry in an Intercontinental GT Challenge round.
