With an hour gone of the 2022 TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, Klaus Bachler driving the #54 Dinamic Motorsport Porsche took the lead at the start powering past Raffielle Marciello in the #88 AMG Team AKKODIS ASP Mercedes AMG on the run down to Eau Rouge in an opening lap which generally saw the whole field behave itself.

“It was an amazing start for the start of the 24 hours of Spa,” said Bachler after handing over to team mate Come Ledogar. “Honestly I was not expecting to take the lead at the start already, but it was a green light and I accelerated and somehow I had better acceleration then the Mercedes next to me.”

Bachler held the lead to the first pitstops although never getting more than a few tenths ahead of the chasing Marciello, but the German seems confident that the Dinamic Porsche is ready for a good finish.

“We were leading the race from the beginning, it was not easy obviously. Marciello was pushing in the back also but we were happy. The car has a good balance, honestly I think we have really good pace and now lets see I mean the race is long, the track can change but I think we have a good car to the end of the race.
