This summer, the 24-hour calendar delivered a brutal triple-header: Le Mans, the Nürburgring, and Spa. While the teams and drivers battled through day and night, so did the fans, cameras in hand and stories waiting to be told.
Here are just a few of your moments from trackside.
Rick Kiewiet, Le Mans
“My favourite shot from this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans was taken from the forest on the inside of Indianapolis, just before 9 PM on Saturday. Normally, this spot is packed with photographers chasing the iconic sunset shot. But with grey skies all day, only Gert Starx (autosport.be) and I took the gamble to head out there.
“After a long wait, the sun broke through at exactly the right moment. For a few brief minutes, Le Mans delivered one of the most beautiful sunsets in years. The photo turned out to be a rare one — nobody else made it in time before the sun disappeared again.
“Another favourite came at 3:45 AM on Sunday. I was on my way to Tertre Rouge when the Safety Car came out. At the S de la Fôret, I caught the field bunching up behind SC1. The light trails formed an ‘S’, just like the name of the corner, and the yellow lights added a little extra to the shot.”
Ian Chicken, Spa
Ian Chicken captured the essence of the Spa 24 Hours in three classic frames: GT3s charging through Eau Rouge at night, fans lining the fences, and fireworks lighting up the Ardennes sky. His photos reflect everything that makes Spa so special: the speed, the spectacle, and the people who bring it to life.
Hallam Voice, Le Mans
Hallam Voice’s photos tell the full story of a 24-hour race. From fans lining the fences to cars tearing through the darkness, his work captures the atmosphere, speed, and scale of Le Mans.
His images show the grit and beauty of endurance racing: the dirt on the cars, the glow of headlights at night, the intensity of multiclass traffic, and the crowds that never stop watching. It’s a sharp, dynamic look at what makes Le Mans unforgettable.
Michael, Nürburgring
Michael travelled from Switzerland to take in the 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours. His photos capture the unique spirit of the event: fans walking the track, cars being worked on in the evening light, and the blend of modern GT3 machinery with Nürburgring classics.
From the pit lane to trackside, Michael’s images show the human side of the race: the effort, the atmosphere, and the passion that define this 24-hour epic.
Michael Jolley, Le Mans and Spa
Travelling from the UK, Michael Jolley took in two of the midsummer giants: the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Spa. His photos focus on the action, capturing the speed, rhythm, and drama of sportscars at full pace.
