McLaren wrapped up its three-day development test with the MCL-HY Hypercar at Imola on Thursday, as preparations continue ahead of the car’s planned FIA World Endurance Championship debut in 2027.
After Laurens Vanthoor, Mikkel Jensen and Richard Verschoor shared driving duties across the opening two days, Grégoire Saucy took over the McLaren MCL-HY on the final day of running.
Wednesday’s second day of testing had ended with a stoppage shortly after pit exit, around three hours into the session. Engineers attended the car on track before it was restarted and returned to the garage under its own power.
