Kellymoss announced Friday a return to the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship (WTSC) for the 2027 season. Daytona will be their first IMSA race since 2024. The team last ran a full WTSC season in 2023. Under both occasions, the operation was ran in collaboration with the famed Riley Technologies outfit. The team has recently focused on Porsche Carrera Cup North America and SRO America among other series.
Coming up with Kellymoss to pilot the #17 Porsche 911 GT3R in its full-season assault of the GT Daytona (GTD) class will be Colin Braun and Michael Clark. The duo is coming off a season together in GT World Challenge (GTWC) America. They finished sixth in the Pro-Am class standings with a best race finish of fifth at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in June.
Braun needs no introduction. Three-time IMSA champion, multiple wins in the biggest races in the series and coming off the Acura GTP program with Meyer Shank Racing. Contrarily, the Bronze-rated Clark will be making his WeatherTech debut in 2027. Before GTWC America, Clark honed his craft in sprint cars. Clark won the Porsche Endurance Challenge North America Cayman Class with Kellymoss in 2024.
The team also announces that Canadian Kyle Marcelli will be their third driver for the endurance races. For IMSA veteran Marcelli, Daytona will mark his first IMSA start in two years. Marcelli was last on the grid as the fourth driver for Wayne Taylor Racing’s GTD Lamborghini at the 2025 Rolex 24. Marcelli has been on and off the IMSA grid since 2014 with the majority of his starts coming in GTD machinery. Furthermore, his two WTSC wins have come in GTD, both in 2018.
The team’s fourth driver for January’s Rolex 24 will be announced at a later date.
