Greystone GT has announced the return of drivers Andrey Borodin and Oli Webb to the British GT Championship for a full-season campaign in 2025. The dynamic duo will pilot a brand-new McLaren 720S GT3, marking their return to the UK’s premier racing series after a year competing internationally in 2024.
Borodin and Webb previously raced together in the British GT Championship in 2023, achieving notable success before shifting their focus to the International GT Open last year. Their 2024 season included a standout appearance at the British GT’s overseas round at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. Now, they’re back on home soil, ready to tackle the challenging UK circuits, starting with the season opener at Donington Park on April 5-6.
Andrey Borodin joined Greystone GT as a rookie in 2021. He quickly made his mark, securing multiple podium finishes in the GT Cup Championship. His transition to British GT saw him claim a GT3 Silver-Am podium at Donington Park in 2022. After a full season with Webb in 2023, Borodin continued to hone his skills in the International GT Open last year. As part of his preparation for the 2025 British GT season, he’ll kick things off by competing in the GT Cup Championship’s opening round at Donington on March 29-30, alongside teammate Ed Pead. The pair, joined by Webb, recently finished fourth in the six-hour Portimao endurance race in February.
Oli Webb, a seasoned professional, brings a wealth of experience to the team. In 2024, he clinched the McLaren Trophy Europe 570S title with Greystone GT while simultaneously competing in the International GT Open with Borodin. Webb’s illustrious career includes an overall victory in the 2014 European Le Mans Series, an outright win at the Dubai 24 Hours, an LMP2 podium at the Le Mans 24 Hours, and a GT4 triumph at the Gulf 12 Hours.
The 2025 British GT Championship promises an exciting seven-round season, featuring highlights like the three-hour Silverstone 500 in April, a summer trip to Spa, and a season finale back at Donington on October 4-5. With winter testing and the Portimao race under their belts, Borodin and Webb are poised for a competitive year.
Team Principal Mark McLoughlin expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m very excited to welcome Andrey and Oli back to the British GT Championship after spending 2024 in the International GT Open. The UK circuits are some of the most challenging in the world, and this generally brings out the very best in both our Pro and Am drivers. Andrey’s progress since his last full season in British GT has been significant, and with Oli’s speed and championship-winning experience, we’re aiming for strong results across the year.”
Fans can catch Borodin and Webb in action as they kick off their British GT campaign at Donington Park next month.
