The increasingly popular GT3 Legends started their season in style with two 50-minute races around the Donington Park circuit. A huge selection of classic GT3 cars in all shapes and sizes took to the track having been granted a new lease of life.
Race 1 initially went the way of Jonathan Mitchell in his ex-IMSA #007 Aston Martin V12 Vantage before a post race penalty for taking his mandatory pit stop too early gifted the win to fellow Aston Martin driver Graham Davidson who has previous success here securing the 2019 British GT crown at the same venue.
Race 2 was less controversial with Mitchell claiming a lights to flag victory with Danny Winstanley in the Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3 getting the better of Davidson in the latter stages to secure second with Davidson rounding out the top three.
GT3 Legends returns on the 27-28 June as a support series to the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.
