Throughout the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring weekend, Moritz Kranz will share behind-the-scenes updates from inside the #904 Mühlner Motorsport powered by H&R Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

After the opening hours of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, Kranz looks back on his first stints in changing conditions, a difficult tyre call during the rain, and the team’s strong position heading into the night.

So, the first three stints are done and now we’re waiting for the next one.

The start stint was okay. We struggled a bit with understeer, but basically the first four or five cars were all together in one pack, so that was fine.

Then I got back into the car when the rain came, and that became a bit more difficult. We had some radio issues — I don’t know why, maybe because of the amount of other cars on the radio — so it was quite hard to properly understand the situation around the track.

Because of that, we got the tyre choice wrong. I didn’t know what was going on around the track and from my perspective it looked like there was a lot of rain. So, we went onto rain tyres, but I think that was the wrong choice in the end.

Still, overall everything is good so far. At the moment we are P1 in Cup 2 Am and P4 overall in Cup 2, so we’re in a strong position heading into the night.

Now let’s see how the night goes.
