AF Corse announced the sudden and tragic passing of longtime team member and Ferrari GT3 driver Cédric Sbirrazzuoli at the age of 39.

Sbirrazzuoli, a native of Monaco, was an integral part of the AF Corse and Ferrari GT3 programs, making starts across multiple championships, primarily in Europe, while also competing in select North American events in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, most recently with Conquest Racing.

During his career, Sbirrazzuoli claimed multiple signature victories, including a GTD class win in IMSA’s 2024 Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta with Conquest Racing’s No. 34 Ferrari. He also earned a GTD podium finish in the Rolex 24 at Daytona earlier that season. The Monaco native additionally scored a victory in the Invitational class at the Bathurst 12 Hour with T2 Racing.

The cause of Sbirrazzuoli’s passing is currently unknown.

“You were a highly talented, determined, and professional driver, with the passion and desire to win that belong only to those who truly love racing,” AF Corse stated on social media. “But you were also so much more: an authentic, respectful, and radiant person, capable of bringing genuine enthusiasm and your own special way of living your passion for motorsport. It was a privilege to work and dream alongside you.

“Your race came to an end far too soon. Your memory will continue to race forever. Our thoughts and deepest affection are with your wife, your parents, and all your loved ones. Goodbye, Cedric. Rest in peace.”
