Algarve Pro Racing overcame a 10-second penalty to take overall victory in the Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone, round five of the 2026 European Le Mans Series. Matthias Kaiser, Jake Hughes and Ben Barnicoat won aboard the #25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca 07, while Steven Thomas, Sami Meguetounif and Scott Huffaker took LMP2 Pro/Am honours in the #14 TDS Racing Oreca 07. Fabien Michal, Pierre-Alexandre Provost and Hugo Schwarze won LMP3 in the #85 R-ace GP Duqueine D09, with Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi, Julian Hanses and Ralf Aron taking LMGT3 victory in the #62 Team Qatar by Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG GT3.
TDS, R-ace GP and Iron Lynx take class honours
The #25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca 07 completed 105 laps in 4:00:34.406 to win overall and in LMP2. The #28 IDEC Sport Oreca 07 of Paul Lafargue, Job van Uitert and Paul-Loup Chatin finished second in class, 29.789 seconds behind, with the #22 United Autosports Oreca 07 of Griffin Peebles, Grégoire Saucy and Ben Hanley third at 32.692 seconds.
LMP2 Pro/Am went to the #14 TDS Racing Oreca 07, which finished second overall and 17.995 seconds behind the race winner. The #21 United Autosports Oreca 07 finished 8.742 seconds behind the class winner, while the #19 Rossa Racing by Virage Oreca 07 completed the Pro/Am podium, 13.147 seconds behind TDS Racing.
The #85 R-ace GP Duqueine D09 topped LMP3 after completing 100 laps, with the #17 CLX Motorsport Ligier JS P325 14.401 seconds behind. The #13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier JS P325 finished third, one lap down.
In LMGT3, the #62 Team Qatar by Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG GT3 won from the #33 TF Sport Corvette Z06 GT3.R by 2.938 seconds. The #77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 GT3 R completed the podium, 5.588 seconds behind the class winner. The victory also moved Team Qatar by Iron Lynx into the LMGT3 championship lead, three points ahead of TF Sport.
Safety car and rain reshape the contest
The race turned when heavy rain and a mid-distance neutralisation scrambled the lead strategies. The #25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca 07 was later handed a 10-second penalty for earlier contact with the #23 United Autosports McLaren 720S GT3, which Jake Hughes served at the next pit stop before the car fought its way back to the front. The #37 CLX Motorsport Oreca 07 had led the opening phase before losing ground as the conditions and strategy calls reshaped the order.
The #22 United Autosports Oreca 07 was delayed by a drive-through after contact with the #35 Ultimate Ligier JS P325, while the #43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca 07 lost ground when Nick Yelloly limped back to the pits with a left-rear wheel problem. The #29 Forestier Racing by Panis Oreca 07 also dropped out of contention when Oliver Gray spun at Brooklands, denting its title challenge as the race entered its decisive phase.
Title fight shifts before the finale
Silverstone reshaped the LMP2 championship picture ahead of the Portimão finale. The #22 United Autosports now leads the standings on 85 points after finishing third in class, moving 13 points clear of the #29 Forestier Racing by Panis on 72.
Victory lifted the #25 Algarve Pro Racing to third on 54 points, ahead of the #18 IDEC Sport on 52 and the #34 Inter Europol Competition on 51. However, with a maximum of 26 points available in Portugal, all three are now mathematically out of title contention.
That leaves United Autosports and Forestier Racing by Panis to decide the LMP2 championship at Portimão.
Portimão set for championship decider
Portimão hosts the season finale from 8–10 October, where the 2026 European Le Mans Series titles will be settled. In LMP2, United Autosports and Forestier Racing by Panis remain in contention, while Team Qatar by Iron Lynx heads to Portugal with a three-point advantage over TF Sport in LMGT3.
