Jeroen Bleekemolen makes his comeback to the VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series this upcoming weekend to race with Frikadelli Racing in the #30 Porsche 991.2 GT3R. The Dutchman will pilot the Porsche alongside team owner Klaus Abbelen in the 43. RCM DMV Grenzlandrennen this upcoming Saturday in preparation for the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
“Jeroen has celebrated many successes in championships all over the world throughout the years,” says Frikadelli Racing team owner Klaus Abbelen. “With his victory in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring in 2013 and second place in 2014 he has proven to also be one of the fastest drivers in the ‘Green Hell’. I am sure that we as a team will profit from his immense experience and I’m really looking forward to working with him up to and including the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.”
“My last race at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife is already a while back,” Jeroen Bleekemolen adds. “The last time I was in a cockpit here was the 2019 Nürburgring 24 Hours. That makes it all the more exciting to be back at the best racetrack in the world. I have gotten to know the team of Klaus Abbelen and Sabine Schmitz in the paddock and they have left a very good impression. Consequently, I’m looking forward so much to teaming up with Frikadelli Racing and our first race together this coming weekend.”
Abbelen and Bleekemolen will co-drive the #30 Frikadelli Racing Porsche 991.2 GT3R in the fourth VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series while the #31 Porsche sits this weekend out. The #962 Porsche Cayman GT4 normally raced by Hendrik von Danwitz and Jules is also not entered this time around.
