Thierry Vermeulen (#69 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari) has been disqualified from Qualifying 1 at Hockenheim after his car was found underweight by 4.5 kilograms.

The Dutchman had originally qualified third behind teammates Ben Green and Jack Aitken, giving Ferrari a front-row lockout and provisional top-three sweep. Following the stewards’ decision, Vermeulen will now start Race 1 from the back of the grid.

As a result, Thomas Preining (#91 Manthey EMA Porsche) moves up to third on the grid, with the rest of the field also shuffled forward one place. Ferrari therefore retains its 1–2 at the front, but loses the clean sweep of the top three positions.

The penalty is a major setback for Vermeulen, while it slightly reshapes the picture for the chasing title contenders starting directly behind the Ferraris.
