GT Cup opened its 2026 season in familiar fashion with the traditional Donington Park curtain-raiser. For the second consecutive year, the event also incorporated a round of GT Cup 100, replacing the usual sprint and endurance format with a standalone 100-minute race on Sunday.
Saturday’s 50-minute endurance race saw Team BRIT mark their series debut in style, with Paul Fullick and Jamie Falvey taking victory in the BMW M4 GT3. On Sunday, PB Racing’s Peter Erceg and Marcus Clutton claimed the GT Cup 100 honours in their Audi R8 GT3 Evo II.
Round 2 heads to Snetterton on 16–17 May for the first of two visits to the Norfolk circuit.
