IMSA announced Wednesday the 2027 VP Sportscar Challenge schedule has confirmed the final stop from its initial release earlier this summer.
The series will visit Barber Motorsports Park as a support race for the NTT IndyCar Series weekend at the beginning of April. This will be the first time LMP3 has been to the track since 2018. VP Sportscar Challenge will accompany McLaren Trophy America as part of the Barber IndyCar IMSA support package. Barber will be the second round of the season after Sebring.
IMSA also confirmed the Road America round will have a revised date of August 13-15, the week after the IMSA WeatherTech weekend at the same venue.
The sanctioning body previously announced the series would return to an all-endurance format with no sprint rounds for 2027. IMSA also confirmed the addition of the BMW M2 Cup class for next season in place of the outgoing GTDX class, which did not have entries in the 2026 season.
Concurrently, the series is introducing the AirBnB Bronze Cup for 2027. The competition is for bronze drivers in the LMP3 category. The winner will receive an invite to compete in the 2028 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

September 10-12: Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta (3 Hours)
September 23-25: Lime Rock Park (90 Minutes)
