FFF Racing Team by ACM is joining the VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series and Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2021. The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo squad is partnering with tyre manufacturer Hankook for an extensive campaign at the Nordschleife, branding itself as Hankook FFF Racing Team.

Last summer saw the 2019 GT World Challenge Europe championship winning team dip its toe in the water that is the Nordschleife during the 6-hour race last year wearing Hankook tyres, as it its intention to return for more. The Chinese-Italian team is the second team to race a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo at the Nürburgring this year, finding a brand compatriot in Konrad Motorsport.

“I’m really happy to start the 2021 season with a new important partnership,” said Fu Songyang, team owner of FFF Racing Team. “Having Hankook with us is of great motivation to the whole team in its quest for excellence. I have personally always been fascinated by the atmosphere of Endurance racing, and the Nordschleife has a very special and strong reputation. Approaching this journey with a partner such as Hankook gives us a great sense of confidence ahead of what will be also the first time that a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO will be present in the series with a high level full campaign.”

Sanghoon Lee, President and COO of Hankook Tire Europe, added: “Europe is our biggest region and is one of the core automotive markets. With this in mind, we are pleased to have this opportunity to demonstrate the performance of our products at one of the biggest endurance races in the world. We have a strong partner in the FFF Racing Team, with whom we want to continue Hankook’s success story at the Nürburgring.”

“The Nürburgring is a home venue for Hankook,” Manfred Sandbichler, Hankook Motorsport Director Europe, continued. “We have completed countless test kilometres and entered many races at this circuit, in all kinds of weather. A large proportion of our development drives for road tyres take place here. With our years of experience at the circuit in the Eifel Mountains, together with the FFF Racing Team, which is very successful in GT3 racing, we are really looking forward to the 49th edition of the ADAC TOTAL 24h Race – particularly as the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO is more than capable of winning. I am delighted with this new partnership and I am sure that it will prove successful at the Nürburgring, in one of the most prestigious and difficult endurance races in the world.”

The 2021 season of the VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series kicks off on 27 March and is preceded by the annual pre-season test one week earlier.
