Scherer Sport Team Phoenix driver Frank Stippler made pole position for the 54. Zewotherm ADAC Barbarossapreis. A salvo of quick laps starting with 30 minutes to go ended with another final hot lap to secure first place with an 8m10.050sec.

The #5 Audi R8 LMS GT3 was over 5 seconds clear of the second-placed #25 Huber Motorsport Porsche 991.2 GT3R of Nico Menzel, whose 8m15.125sec came at the end of the session having been one of the fastest drivers during the session.
A late flyer of the #16 Scherer Sport Team Phoenix Audi R8 LMS GT3 with Kuba Giermaziak at the wheel gave Phoenix Racing a one-three qualifying result. The Pole’s 8m15.857sec kept him well ahead of Peter Terting’s 8m17.945sec who was late to the party as well, lining up his #2 Schnitzelalm Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 in fourth.
Fifth place went to the #39 Racingone Ferrari 488 GT3. Jody Fannin managed a 8m18.048sec in his second outing with the local team.
