Grasser Racing Team’s weekend at Brands Hatch took a major setback as both the #19 and #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 entries were disqualified from qualifying for the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.
Following post-session checks, the technical delegate reported that both cars were “not in conformity with BoP” due to incorrect Cam In sensor data compared to engine reference values collected during official testing. The stewards, citing a breach of Article 507.1 of the 2025 Sporting Regulations, disqualified both entries from the results of Q1 and Q2.
The team acknowledged the issue during the hearing and later released a statement clarifying that the miscalibration did not result in a performance gain but nonetheless failed to comply with the regulations.
“We respect the decision of the stewards,” Grasser Racing Team said. “We lost great starting positions and apologise for the situation. We’ll give our best today to still score some good points.”
Both the #19 and #63 will start from the back of the grid for both races.
