The 2025 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Sprint Cup kicks off today at Brands Hatch with a double-header of sprint races on the legendary GP circuit. Race 1 begins at 11:00 BST (12:00 CEST), with Race 2 following at 15:45 BST (16:45 CEST).

Saturday’s qualifying sessions set the grid in dramatic fashion. Thierry Vermeulen (#69 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari) claimed his maiden overall pole in Q1 with a flying 1:23.374, while Maro Engel (#48 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG) topped Q2 with a 1:23.240. Both drivers also secured class pole positions—Vermeulen in Gold Cup and Engel in Pro.

Behind them, close margins defined the day, with just a few tenths covering the top rows. Silver Cup poles went to Lorens Lecertua (Q1, Saintéloc Audi) and César Gazeau (Q2, Boutsen VDS Mercedes-AMG).

The #64 HRT Ford Mustang returns to the grid after sustaining damage earlier in the day. The car will start both races from the back.
