The No. 6 of Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will run a tribute to the Porsche 917/30. Campaigned by Penske in the 1973 Can-Am Challenge Cup, Mark Donohoue dominated the season en route to the championship. Donohue’s win at Road America that year was part of a six-race win streak.

The sister No. 7, driven by Felipe Nasr and Julien Andlauer, honors Penske running the Porsche RS Spyders in the American Le Mans Series. From 2005-08, car and team scored thirteen overall victories. Highlights include overall wins at Road America in 2007, during a run of eight straight outright race victories, and the 2008 12 Hours of Sebring, the only victory for an LMP2 car in the ALMS era.
