GT qualifying is complete for tomorrow’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix, with Lilou Wadoux Ducellier claiming the GTD pole in the No. 21 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, while AO Racing’s Harry King earned the GTD Pro pole in the No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) “Rexy.”
As track conditions steadily improved throughout the session, drivers contended with a circuit that transitioned from damp to nearly dry. After several changes atop the timing charts, Wadoux Ducellier delivered the fastest GTD lap with a 2:04.688. The pole comes just months after she helped AF Corse capture victory in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Lining up second in GTD will be Zacharie Robichon in the No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo with a lap of 2:04.855. Valentin Hasse-Clot continued YRB Racing’s impressive Saturday by qualifying third in the No. 068 “Car Blanche” Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo with a 2:04.857, following the team’s first-ever Michelin Pilot Challenge victory earlier in the day.
In GTD Pro, King paced the field with a 2:03.954 to put AO Racing’s “Rexy” on pole. Neil Verhagen qualified second in the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 Evo with a 2:04.182, while Alexander Sims secured third in the No. 3 Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R with a 2:04.264.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s first-ever six-hour race at Road America is scheduled to go green Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET. Fans in the United States can watch live on Peacock, while international viewers can stream the race on IMSA.tv and IMSA’s YouTube channel.
