Antonio Fuoco put the #50 Ferrari on pole position for the 6 Hours of Monza, the final round of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship. In LMGT3, Hadrien David took pole for the #78 Akkodis ASP Lexus. The race starts on Sunday at 11:00 CET.
Hypercar
Fuoco set a 1m33.364s in Hyperpole, Ferrari’s first Hypercar pole at Monza, and finished 0.096s clear of Mathieu Jaminet in the #19 Genesis. The session ran on a drying track, the driest conditions of the weekend, at a circuit that has been resurfaced since the WEC’s last visit in 2023. Fuoco also topped the earlier session that set the Hyperpole field, with a 1m33.440s.
Earl Bamber took third for the #38 Hertz Team JOTA Cadillac, about two tenths off pole. Antonio Giovinazzi was fractionally slower in fourth in the #51 Ferrari. Theo Pourchaire put the #94 Peugeot 9X8 fifth, within three tenths of pole, and Victor Martins was sixth for Alpine on a 1m33.858s. Norman Nato was seventh in the second Cadillac, and Robert Kubica eighth in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari after failing to improve on his final lap. Nick Cassidy in the second Peugeot and Sheldon van der Linde in the #20 WRT BMW, the only BMW to reach Hyperpole, completed the top ten.

Both Toyotas fighting for the Drivers’ title missed the cut. Ryo Hirakawa’s #8, which leads the #7 by 17 points, qualified 15th, with Kamui Kobayashi’s #7 three tenths slower in 16th. Charles Milesi missed Hyperpole in the sister Alpine by 0.074s. Neither Heart of Racing Aston Martin Valkyrie progressed, and Barcelona pole sitter Mathys Jaubert will start 13th in the #17 Genesis.
LMGT3
David set a 1m47.523s for his second pole of the season, on what is the Lexus RC F GT3’s final WEC appearance. It came after Eduardo Barrichello’s lap in the #23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, nearly half a second quicker, was deleted for exceeding track limits. He ended up fourth. All the best times came on the final laps as the track dried.

Class points leader Jonny Edgar will start second in the #33 TF Sport Corvette, just 0.014s off pole. Ben Tuck was third in the #77 Proton Competition Ford Mustang GT3 Evo, 0.058s behind, and the second Lexus of Clemens Schmid was fifth. Peter Dempsey in the #34 Racing Team Turkey Corvette had topped the earlier session with a 1m48.440s.
The title rivals had a poor session. The #69 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 Evo of Anthony McIntosh needed pole to keep its slim title hopes alive, but had several laps deleted and could only manage 16th. The #92 The Bend Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R of Yasser Shahin narrowly missed Hyperpole, 0.078s slower than the sister Porsche that made tenth. Both Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3 Evos, the two AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evos and the second BMW were also eliminated.

The opening session was red-flagged almost straight away, when François Hériau spun into the barriers at the Ascari chicane on his outlap in the #21 Ferrari. Martin Berry also rotated the #61 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG at the Roggia chicane but was able to continue and progress.
Ferrari lines up on pole in front of its home crowd, while Toyota’s two title contenders will have to work their way through the field from 15th and 16th.
