Porsche works driver Matteo Cairoli took pole position for Saturday’s VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) race at the Nürburgring giving Rutronik Racing its first pole at the Nordschleife. The Italian was quickest in cold and damp conditions during the early morning session, setting a fastest lap of 9m06.584sec.
The #21 Rutronik Racing Porsche 992 GT3R was helped by a Code 60 Zone at Adenauer Forst late in the session that kept the rest of the field from improving their times.

Starting from second place is the #99 Rowe Racing BMW M4 GT3. Despite fast sector times, the Code 60 prevented Nick Yelloly from taking pole position, the Brit having to settle for a best time of 9m07.305sec, almost four second ahead of the third-placed #12 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Maximilian Götz. The GetSpeed team will line-up on the second row alongside the Yokohama-sponsored #34 Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M4 GT3.
The third row is occupied by the #98 Rowe Racing BMW M4 GT3 in fifth and #9 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 in sixth.
The lights go green today at 12:00 CEST. Watch NLS2 live on GT.REPORT/live.
