The second round of the International GT Open season took place on 22 and 23 July at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. No less than 34 GT3 cars took part in this PRO/AM event, in the overheated summer atmosphere of Provence.

Both qualifying sessions were won by the same car, the #63 Oregon Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 of P.L. Chovet and M. Paul. However, starting in second place for Saturday, Optimum Motorsport drivers Samuel de Haas and Charlie Fagg won the first race. Less than 2 seconds behind were Diego Menchaca and Marcos Siebert (#17 Team Motopark Mercedes-AMG GT3), while Alfred Renauer and Patrick Kolb were third in the #99 Lionspeed GP Porsche 911 GT3 R, 20 seconds back.

Race two saw the Lamborghini win from the Pole position, thanks to an unstoppable overtake by Chovet on the Eastalent Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the final ten minutes.  Menchaca and Siebert (#17 Team Motopark Mercedes-AMG GT3) returned to the podium in third place.

Championship standings are tighter than ever: going into the summer break, only one point separates (De Haas/Fagg) from (Menchaca/Siebert).
