Lionspeed GP will return to the Nürburgring 24 Hours, entering the SP9 Pro class with a line-up of three experienced drivers. Laurens Vanthoor, Laurin Heinrich and Ricardo Feller team up to fight for the overall victory.

The German outfit will field the #24 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo with three endurance experts behind the wheel. All three drivers bring strong credentials, including previous wins at the Eifel classic. Lionspeed GP is closely connected to the Nordschleife, but was not present on the grid of the 24-hour race last year.

The Nürburgring holds special significance for Lionspeed, marking both its origins and some of its biggest successes. The team previously secured SP9 Pro-Am class victories in 2020 and 2024, the latter during its debut season as an independent GT racing outfit.

Lionspeed has its sights set on IGTC manufacturer’s title

There can’t be another goal than winning with Vanthoor in the car, who is a former overall winner of the 24 Hour Nürburgring. He has left his mark on the GT3 and endurance racing world as factory drivers at both Audi and Porsche.

He will share the car with Porsche factory driver Heinrich, who is also embarking on a new campaign in European Le Mans Series, next to his programme in the Hypercar in IMSA. Feller, also a former winner at the Nordschleife, completes the line-up. He has been part of the Lionspeed family since 2025. This trio will fight against a very competitive grid.

With a competitive car and proven drivers, Lionspeed GP aims not only for a strong result but also to contribute points toward Porsche’s bid for the Intercontinental GT Challenge manufacturers’ title.
