The ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring weekend began in classic Eifel fashion, with rain clouds hanging low over the circuit as preparations for the event ramped up during Adenauer Racing Day. Arriving at the track around 11:00, most of the garages were already occupied, with teams continuing their final preparations despite several drivers still yet to arrive. The atmosphere throughout the paddock was calm and relaxed, offering a steady build-up to one of endurance racing’s most iconic weekends.

After spending time around the paddock, attention shifted toward Adenau, where fans had gathered for the traditional Adenauer Racing Day parade. By then, the weather had taken a dramatic turn. Dark skies rolled in over the town and heavy rain began pouring down, forcing spectators to wait out the conditions for nearly two hours. Fortunately, there was still enough time to grab a pizza and wait for the action to begin.
Then, almost perfectly timed, the weather changed once again. Just before the parade started, the rain stopped and the skies began to clear, creating ideal conditions for the crowd lining the streets of Adenau.

The parade itself featured several standout entries that immediately caught the attention of fans. Among them were the iconic BMW Z4 GT3, the striking HWA EVO.R, and, naturally, Manthey Racing’s famous ‘Grello’ Porsche. One of the highlights of the evening came as the bright green-and-yellow Porsche drove through town carrying Fat Eric on the roof, drawing loud reactions from spectators.

Overall, Adenauer Racing Day provided a fitting and atmospheric opening to the Nürburgring 24 Hours week. Despite the difficult weather conditions earlier in the day, the combination of passionate fans, legendary machinery, and the unique atmosphere around the Nordschleife created a memorable start to the event.
