This weekend, GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS returns to Brands Hatch in the United Kingdom. A 34-car grid across the Pro, Gold and Silver classes will take to the Kent circuit, with no Bronze Cup entries due to limited garage space.

Pro: WRT targets Sprint Cup title defence

The Pro class represents the pinnacle of the championship. Following a successful 2025 campaign, the #32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Charles Weerts and Kelvin van der Linde enters 2026 aiming to defend its Sprint Cup title.

We sat down with Charles Weerts to discuss Brands Hatch, the BMW M4 GT3 EVO and the season ahead.

WRT fields two additional Pro entries: Valentino Rossi returns to Sprint Cup action alongside Max Hesse in the #46 car, while Jordan Pepper and Amaury Cordeel share the #31 entry.

AF Corse, winners of the 2025 Brands Hatch opener, return with a single factory Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO in the Pro class for Arthur Leclerc and Thomas Neubauer.

Ferrari is also represented by Emil Frey Racing, with Thierry Vermeulen and Ben Green behind the wheel.

Rutronik Racing is set to debut the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 in the United Kingdom, with Luca Engstler and Patric Niederhauser forming the Sprint Cup lineup after a challenging Endurance Cup opener at Paul Ricard.

Porsche and Mercedes-AMG each field two cars. Boutsen VDS runs Dorrian Boccolaci and Morris Schuring, while Lionspeed GP enters Bastien Buus and Ricardo Feller. Mercedes-AMG fields Maro Engel and Lucas Auer with Winward Racing, alongside the Verstappen Racing entry of Chris Lulham and Daniel Juncadella.

Single entries complete the class: Comtoyou Racing fields the #007 Aston Martin for Nicki Thiim and Kobe Pauwels, Garage 59 returns with Marvin Kirchhöfer and Dean Macdonald, and Eastalent Racing enters an Audi for Simon Reicher and Christopher Haase.

Gold Cup: McLaren among favourites

McLaren has a strong presence in Gold Cup, with three 720S GT3 EVOs across Garage 59 and CSA Racing. Louis Prette and Thomas Fleming lead the Garage 59 entry, while Arthur Rougier partners James Kell and Simon Gachet teams up with Romain Andriolo for CSA Racing.

Lamborghini is represented by VSR, running the Temerario GT3 for Loris Spinelli and Mattia Michelotto.

AF Corse fields a Ferrari for Matías Zagazeta and Tommaso Mosca, Boutsen VDS enters a Porsche for Gilles Magnus and Robin Knutsson, and Tresor Attempto Racing brings an Audi for Alex Aka and Dylan Pereira.

KPX Motorsport makes its debut with a BMW M4 GT3 EVO driven by Jop Rappange and David Pittard.

Silver Cup: Day joins Walkenhorst

The Silver Cup features 12 entries, with Aston Martin and Porsche leading the way with three cars each. Reigning champion Jamie Day joins Walkenhorst Motorsport, partnering Mateo Villagómez in the #34 Aston Martin. The sister #35 car sees Gaspard Simon team up with Maxime Robin.

Comtoyou Racing fields Oliver Söderström and Arthur Dorison, while Porsche entries include Pure Rxcing, Dinamic GT and razoon – more than racing.

AF Corse enters two Ferraris, while Tresor Attempto Racing runs an Audi for Andrea Frassineti and Ariel Levi. GetSpeed fields a Mercedes-AMG for Anthony Bartone.

Team WRT represents BMW with Matisse Lismont and Ignacio Montenegro, while Optimum Motorsport completes the grid with a McLaren for Mikey Porter and Guilherme Oliveira.

Every session live from Brands Hatch

For the first time, every session from Brands Hatch will be broadcast live on the GT World YouTube channel, expanding coverage beyond the usual qualifying and race sessions.

The opening round of the Sprint Cup begins this weekend, with practice and qualifying on Saturday followed by two 60-minute races on Sunday.
