Flynt Schuring (19) adds another win to his already impressive list of feats by crossing the line of the Porsche Supercup race at Spa-Francorchamps in P1. Team Schumacher CLRT concluded a good weekend in Belgium as teammate Chester Kieffer slotted into P2.
The young Dutchman already did half of the work on Saturday, when he collected the pole position in an extremely tight qualifying session – as is always the case in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Kieffer was on his tail, with a gap of just 0.047 seconds separating the two CLRT drivers on the front row.
The French outfit was far ahead of the drivers starting on the second row: 2025 vice-champion Robert de Haan secured P3 in the qualifying session, but with a gap of nearly four tenths. He was accompanied by teammate Marcus Amand in P4, meaning CLRT and BWT Lechner Racing locked out the first four starting places.
Cauhaupé and Bristot in opening rookie fight
When the lights went out for the fourth Supercup round of the season, Schuring managed to hold his position while closely followed by Kieffer. Wouter Boerekamps from Team GP Elite had an amazing start, almost able to split the two BWT Lechner Porsches, but went through the gravel. He managed to get a hold of the car again soon, but found himself dropping down the order.

Behind the leading group, rookies Andrea Bristot and Paul Cauhaupé were pushing and pulling – with the young Frenchman attempting to keep his fifth position. Bristot was not planning to let Cauhaupé go easily, as they remained side by side through Les Combes. The fight saw Keagan Masters looking for an opportunity to get by, feeling the hot breath of two GP Elite cars on his neck too, but had to be patient.
Not much later Bristot went wide, but managed to keep his car on track and slot in again. There was a long race ahead for the Italian, who lost quite some ground. Heading into the second lap of the race, the first three cars started to pull away from the group while more fights erupted in the top ten. Boerekamps and Matheus Ferreira both looked competitive, trying to stay close to Masters in front.
Boerekamps surprises Masters in Bus Stop
The South African driver was probably far from relaxed as he collected a train of cars behind him, with Boerekamps’ nose on his rear through every corner. Boerekamps couldn’t lean back either, as he had his teammate right behind him, who was chased by Theo Oeverhaus and Jaap van Lagen.
Boerekamps was the first one to get the overtake done in the Bus Stop chicane, slotting in front of Masters while slamming the door closed exiting La Source. Masters was forced slightly wide and had to correct his line after dipping a tyre into the gravel, and immediately found himself under pressure from Oeverhaus. Ferreira hoped to follow Boerekamps, but was under attack and overtaken by veteran Van Lagen.

Halfway through the race there was a cease-fire for all drivers as the safety car came out on track due to the crash of Sam Shahin. As soon as the car was recovered, the race went green again and there were five laps. The short SC phase pushed the field together again, with BWT Lechner looking for ways to get past Schuring and Kieffer.
Schuring pulls away with ease
Within a lap Schuring pulled away from the rest of the grid by one second, leaving Kieffer to deal with De Haan. While the race was entering its final phase, Cauhaupé was pushing to stay with Amand in front of him, at the same time dealing with Boerekamps who seemed to find more pace in every corner of the track.
For a second it looked like Boerekamps was going to repeat his overtake in Bus Stop, but just didn’t manage to get his car beside the green Porsche in front of him. Oeverhaus and Van Lagen were quick to join the fight, as the German driver saw an opportunity to go around the outside in La Source and overtake both Cauhaupé and Boerekamps.
The rookie held position, getting clean air through Eau Rouge and Raidillon while Boerekamps took another line through the apex, slotting in behind Oeverhaus. It was a fight to the line, with Cauhaupé and Oeverhaus finishing in front of Boerekamps.
Schuring won the race, with teammate Kieffer making it a one-two for CLRT. De Haan completed the podium. After winning his second Supercup race of the year, Schuring extends his championship lead by twenty points.

Keep an eye on these rookies
Kieffer joined the overall podium in P2 and enjoyed the rookie win as well. With Cauhaupé finishing the race in P5 he takes another rookie podium, continuing an impressive first Supercup campaign. Ferreira joins him on the podium to take P3. Bristot had a difficult race after the opening phase, but is still a rookie to zoom in on.
The Italian impressed hugely in the previous races and is definitely in contention to win the rookie championship – yet will have to keep Cauhaupé in mind. He keeps P1 in the rookie championship, with Kieffer on the same amount of points, and Cauhaupé on just five points behind.
