Robert Wickens will make his second IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship endurance race start this weekend at Road America, co-driving the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for DXDT Racing as a substitute for Salih Yoluc.
The six-hour Motul SportsCar Grand Prix marks Wickens’ first endurance appearance in IMSA’s top class since 2017. After making his WeatherTech Championship debut with DXDT Racing last season, the Canadian has continued competing in the series’ sprint races throughout 2025 and 2026. This season, he has shown impressive speed behind the wheel, highlighted by earning the team’s first pole position of the year at Long Beach in April.
Wickens’ only previous IMSA WeatherTech Championship endurance start came in 2017, when he drove an Oreca FLM09 for Starworks Motorsport and finished ninth in class in the Rolex 24.
Yoluc was forced to withdraw from this weekend’s event due to a family emergency. Wickens will team with Mason Filippi and Charlie Eastwood in the No. 36 Corvette for Sunday’s six-hour race.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race is scheduled to take the green flag at 11:40 a.m. ET. Coverage will air on Peacock in the United States, with international viewers able to watch on IMSA’s YouTube channel and IMSA.tv.
