Westin Workman completed a clean sweep of the VP Racing Sportscar Challenge weekend at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), claiming the Race No. 2 victory aboard his No. 8 RAFA Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 in the GSX-only round.

Only five of the eight entries would take the green flag for Sunday morning’s feature, with yesterday’s podium finisher, Caio Chaves, not starting the race aboard the No. 98 Panam Motorsport Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

Even with the condensed starting grid, early drama unfolded on the warmup laps for GSX championship leader Workman, who spun and was forced to start from the rear of the field.

Workman’s mistake allowed Courtney Crone to take the green flag from the pole in the No. 35 CarBahn Motorsports BMW M4 GT4 EVO, pulling out to an early lead.

However, Workman would not let the pre-race blemish phase him, charging hard in the opening minutes to get past Crone and reclaim the lead.

Once out front, Workman gradually extended his advantage throughout the remaining 40 minutes, building a gap of nearly 30 seconds over Crone before cruising to the race win.

Crone held on to second following the early-race pass to claim the second step of the podium, while Jon Brel finished the weekend with a third-place result aboard the No. 81 Kingpin Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

Coming out of VIR, Workman continues to expand his championship lead, while Crone trails as the Toyota driver heads into the final two races with a strong chance to secure the GSX title.

The final two rounds of the season are set to take place at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, September 30–October 3. The GSX class will be rejoined by the P3 competitors for the final weekend, with the GSX and P3 classes crowning their full-season champions, while P3 will also crown its Sprint season champion.
