Marco Wittmann and Ben Dörr took a win apiece at the Sachsenring as the DTM title fight entered its closing stages. Wittmann held off a determined Jules Gounon in Race 1, while Dörr mastered changeable conditions and a late Safety Car to claim Race 2. Thomas Preining’s double podium extended his championship lead to 23 points over Maro Engel, with the series now heading to Hockenheim for the season finale on 9–11 October.
