Ferrari Challenge North America completed its Road America weekend with two rounds of competition across the Trofeo Pirelli, Trofeo Pirelli-AM, Coppa Shell and Coppa Shell-AM categories, producing close finishes and multiple repeat winners as the championship heads toward its season finale in Catalunya.
In Trofeo Pirelli, Johnny Kaminskey swept both races at Road America, securing the class championship in the process. Kaminskey took Race 1 by 1.184 seconds over Roberto Perrina, with David Musial Jr. completing the overall podium 1.637 seconds behind the race winner. Brad Fauvre and George Grinzewitsch III rounded out the top five.
Kaminskey followed with another victory in Race 2, finishing 1.057 seconds ahead of Perrina. Brian Cook finished third, followed by Musial Jr. and Grinzewitsch III.
Joe Rubbo and Yahn Bernier split the Trofeo Pirelli-AM victories. Rubbo claimed Race 1 ahead of Michael Porter and Bernier, while Bernier narrowly edged Rubbo in Race 2 by just 0.116 seconds. Matthew Diehl finished third, with Mitchell Green and Gregory Hopkins completing the top five. The top eight drivers in the class finished within three seconds of the winner.
Charlie Menard also completed a weekend sweep in Coppa Shell. Menard won Race 1 by 1.506 seconds over Louis Flory, with Blake Rosser finishing third. Mike Chen and Michael Owens completed the top five.
Menard returned to Victory Lane in Race 2, this time finishing 3.136 seconds ahead of Ryan Dayton. Rosser finished third, just 0.244 seconds behind Dayton, while Chen and Flory rounded out the top five.
Melissa Kozyra swept the Coppa Shell-AM races, opening the weekend with a 0.595-second victory over Jamie Garrett and Tim Duit. Jeffrey Nunberg and Steve Check completed the top five. Kozyra then extended her advantage in Race 2, winning by 4.429 seconds over Duit, with Nunberg, Lance Cawley and Daniel Roberts completing the top five.
With the Road America weekend complete, the championship picture is beginning to take shape heading into the Catalunya Finale. Although Kaminskey officially clinched the Trofeo Pirelli championship, holding a 75-point advantage over Perrina with a maximum of 74 points remaining across the two finale races, the remaining championships remain mathematically open.
Mitchell Green leads the Trofeo Pirelli-AM standings by six points over Bernier, while Rosser holds a 14-point advantage over Menard in Coppa Shell. Kozyra leads the Coppa Shell-AM standings by 54 points over Duit, while also holding a 30-point lead over Garrett in the Ladies Shell-AM standings. Mike Louli leads the Gentlemen Shell championship by 12 points over Glenn Moss, while Lance Cawley carries a 35-point advantage over Bernard Gomez in Gentlemen Shell-AM.
The Ferrari Challenge North America season will conclude at the Catalunya Finale in Barcelona, where the remaining championship battles will be decided.
