Tim Scheerbarth: “I had a very lazy day today because we decided that only Marvin Dienst would do three laps in the rain and then we parked the car in the pits to work on it for the 24-hour race and Niklas, Kai and myself didn’t drive. So we had a lazy day today at the Nürburgring and the weather was much worse than the forecast. The normal apps for the forecast were saying it was dry – but I think you’ve seen how it wasn’t dry during qualifying! It was raining, dry, sun, raining again, all day long.
“The conditions for the boys in the Top Qualifying were really tough. It’s pretty awesome especially for Maro Engel! Last year he did the 24 Hour Pole lap and this year again. I think he is pretty well in shape going really fast for long stints as well as for one or two laps, it was an amazing performance, really cool!”
