Tim Scheerbarth: “Marvin did our last stint, he took over from me. I was in the car for four or five laps on rain tyres when we decided is was safe to go onto slicks. I did a normal stint of nine laps on slicks and then I did a normal pitstop and we changed to Marvin who started with slicks again.

“After a couple of laps it stated to rain really heavily but we had luck because he was at the Tiergarten chicane so we quickly ordered Marvin to pit and the crew were really quick getting the rain tyres on the car and then we were fighting for P1 in the SP7 class. At the end we had to pit on the penultimate lap of the race so we finished second in SP7 which we are really happy with.

“We’re especially happy with Schaeffler Paravan and their new steering system, steer by wire. We were the first car to drive and finish a 24-hour race with such a system so the guys are really happy with the result as are all the drivers.

“There is not a scratch on the car and the system was running well.

“Now we go for a party and enjoy a nice evening!”
