Toyota will showcase the GR GT3, along with its road-going counterpart, the GR GT, this weekend at the 2026 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
The Toyota GR GT3, the brand’s upcoming GT3 race car, is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, similar to its road-going sibling, the GR GT. However, the GR GT3 features a purpose-built racing transmission, while the GR GT utilizes an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Both cars are set to make their first public, uncamouflaged hot laps on a North American circuit, with IMSA Vasser Sullivan driver Jack Hawksworth and three-time GT300 class winner Tatsuya Kataoka tapped to pilot the GR GT and GR GT3.
The all-new Toyota machines are scheduled to make their first runs on Friday, August 14, from 12:55 p.m. to 1:10 p.m., followed by another on-track appearance Saturday, August 15, from 5:55 p.m. to 6:10 p.m.
Along with the on-track showcase, Toyota GAZOO Racing will feature dedicated pit displays for both cars throughout the weekend, giving fans an up-close look at the brand’s newest performance machines.
