Mirko Bortolotti has been disqualified from Sunday’s DTM race at Oschersleben following a post‑race technical inspection. During routine checks on four cars, officials discovered that the wheel bearing on the #63 TGI Team by GRT Lamborghini Temerario GT3 did not comply with the DTM GT3 homologation and the designated reference part — a breach of Article 5.1 of the Sporting Regulations. A revised classification for Race 2 has been issued, promoting Maro Engel to the win. GRT has already announced its intention to appeal the decision. Until the appeal is heard, the result remains provisional.
New top three
With the #63 removed from the classification, Maro Engel (#80 Mercedes-AMG Team Ravenol Mercedes-AMG GT3) inherits victory. Thomas Preining (#91 Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R) moves up to second, and Marco Wittmann (#11 Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3) completes the podium. The revised order stands provisionally while GRT’s appeal is pending.

Bortolotti’s disqualification carries wider implications beyond the immediate reshuffle of the Oschersleben result. It strips the Italian of what would have been his first DTM victory since the Red Bull Ring in 2024, ending a long personal drought. The ruling also reshapes Lamborghini’s recent GT3 narrative: the first win for the new Temerario GT3 no longer belongs to GRT, but instead transfers to Pfaff Motorsport, whose latest IMSA success on the Road America circuit now stands as the car’s first recognised triumph.
