The second practice session of the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour ran without any incidents, giving FIA Bronze-rated drivers valuable track time at Mount Panorama. With stable conditions throughout the session, teams focused on consistency and race preparation rather than outright pace.
Brett Hobson topped the timesheets with a 2:05.3176 in the #45 RAM Motorsport/GWR Australia Mercedes-AMG GT3. It was a strong and clean lap that kept him ahead until the end of the session. Close behind was Maxime Oosten in the #89 Team KRC BMW, finishing just 0.02 seconds adrift in a very tight battle for the top spot. Brad Schumacher delivered a solid run to secure third place.
The #27 Heart of Racing by SPS Mercedes-AMG finished fourth, showing consistent pace across the session, while the #75 75 Express Mercedes-AMG completed the top five. Lorenzo Patrese placed sixth in the #193 Ziggo Sport Tempesta by ARGT Ferrari after steadily improving his lap times.
Further down the order but still inside the top ten were Dorian Boccolacci in the #86 High Class Racing Porsche, Alfred Renauer in the #21 Herberth Motorsport Porsche, Steve Brook in the #268 Team BRM Audi, and Johannes Ziegler in the #79 Tsunami RT Porsche.
With Practice 2 completed smoothly, attention now turns to Practice 3, which is scheduled to begin at 13:10 local time as preparations continue for the main race.
