Bathurst 12 Hour: Scott Taylor Motorsport sets the pace in close Practice 6

Cam Waters delivered a standout performance in practice 6 at the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour at Mount Panorama, setting the fastest lap of 2:02.357 in the #222 Scott Taylor Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. The session was extremely close at the top, with Waters finishing just 0.163 seconds ahead of Christopher Haase in one of the tightest practice battles of the weekend.

Haase continued Melbourne Performance Centre’s strong form at the Bathurst 12 Hour by securing second place in the #55 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. The Audi squad has consistently remained near the front throughout the weekend.

Third fastest was the #93 Wall Racing Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 Bronze entry driven by Mapelli, showing impressive pace among the Pro and Bronze field. Quinn followed in fourth with the #101 MPC Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.

Scott Andrews placed fifth in the #44 Geyer Valmont Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Pro-Am entry, while Raffaele Marciello secured sixth for Team WRT in the #46 BMW M4 GT3 Evo. Max Hesse was seventh in the #89 Team KRC BMW.

Grove Racing continued its steady progress in eighth with the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, ahead of Alex Peroni in the #268 Team BRM Audi. Luca Stolz completed the top ten in the #75 75 Express Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

Just outside the top ten in Practice 6, Christopher Mies finished eleventh in the #64 HRT Ford Mustang GT3, followed by Fabian Schiller in the #6 Tigani Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3.

As the Bathurst 12 Hour weekend continues, Corvette has yet to show front-running pace at Mount Panorama and remains in search of speed. Meanwhile, Ford is gradually building momentum, with the Mustang GT3 moving closer to the leading group with each session.
