David Gallagher’s early shots show the field racing over Mount Panorama in complete darkness at 05:45, headlights lighting up the climb across Skyline and The Esses. As the sun came up, the light shifted to soft morning colours. And now the cars are running under a cloudy afternoon sky, waiting or not, for rain.
