After racing with Frikadelli Racing in 2020, Porsche development driver Lars Kern is back aboard the #911 Manthey Porsche 991.2 GT3R ‘Grello’ for this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hours. Having won the VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series season-opening race followed by a string of top ten finishes, the team is going into the Eifel classic as one of the top-favourites. Lars shares the popular neon-coloured Grello with Kévin Estre, Michael Christensen and Matteo Cairoli.

Starting position: P11.

Lars Kern: “It was pretty clear that the conditions were horrendous, and we are happy that Kévin took on the responsibility to do the lap. In these conditions we had multiple heart attacks while watching the onboard, but he managed well. I think his second lap would have been really, really good, but got a bit stuck behind the Audi.

“P11 for the start is definitely a good position. We feel prepared and it seems like the weather will not be that bad for the weekend, so we are really looking forward to the race and see where we end up.”
